For organizations
The Far Messenger Program
A 2.5–3 day immersive that trains the one thing no strategy deck can give your people: the capacity to carry weight.
The promise
We don't send your leaders home rested. We send them home as Far Messengers — able to carry weight across hard ground, and arrive whole.
Why now
The ground is moving faster than your people can absorb.
Technology is accelerating past the pace any of us were built for. Systems that held for decades are under strain. Your best people are absorbing that load in their bodies, and calling it a busy quarter.
Rest is not the answer. Rest wears off by Wednesday.
Resilience is different. Resilience is trainable — and it has been trained, deliberately and successfully, by peoples who crossed hard country for thousands of years before anyone wrote a wellness budget.
The best teams do not run on pressure. They run on coherence — a nervous system that has remembered how to settle makes clearer decisions, hears people better, and creates from abundance instead of scarcity. That state is not a personality trait. It is trainable, it is measurable, and it is the quiet engine under every good decision and every person who chooses to stay.
Who this is for
For teams ready to rise.
Leadership teams ready for more
More clarity, more coherence, more aliveness — a higher baseline to lead from.
Organizations investing in their people
Where belonging and vitality become the reason your best people stay.
Teams entering a big season
A merger, a launch, fast growth — met in strength and unity, not depletion.
The arc
Arrive. Awaken. Carry.
Arrive
We begin outdoors, on the land, with a land acknowledgement — never in a conference room. The first hours are spent settling the nervous system: breath, quiet, food, and a slow introduction of every person in the room to every other person in the room. Nothing is asked of anyone on the first day except that they land.
Awaken
The full day. Breathwork at first light. Sound and chanting. Movement — yoga, tai chi, qigong, or the land options your group chooses. The ancestral kitchen. And council: the oldest meeting format there is, where each person speaks once, uninterrupted, and the group hears what it has been too busy to hear.
Carry
Integration. We convert three days of experience into something durable: a personal practice each participant can run in ten minutes a day, and a written 30/60/90 plan tied to the work they are going back to. They leave with it in hand, not in a follow-up email.
The signature journey
The Far Messenger Path
Each person names, out loud, what they are here to carry.
A far messenger was the person a community sent when the distance was long, the ground was hard, and the message could not fail to arrive. They were trained for it — breath, pace, food, mind, and the discipline of arriving whole rather than merely arriving.
On the Path, every participant walks that role. They name their message. They walk it. They are witnessed naming it, which is the part that makes it stick. It is the hinge of the program, and it is the thing people are still talking about a year later.
Measured, not vibed
A documented rise, or we have not done our job.
Every participant takes the Far Messenger Diagnostic before they arrive and again thirty days after they leave. You receive an aggregate, anonymised report showing the movement across your group — so the investment is defensible to the people who approve it.
Who shows up
We do not send one facilitator. We send a team.
Most of them are lifelong students of ancestral wellness, and several are practitioners in their own traditions. They travel together and they have worked together for years.
- Meditation and breathworkThe daily spine of the program, morning and evening.
- Sound healing and chantingBowls, drum and voice — the fastest route into a regulated room.
- Somatic healingFor the load your people have been carrying in the body.
- Yoga, tai chi, qigongMovement scaled to the group in front of us, never performative.
- Cooks and the ancestral kitchenReal food with a lineage, cooked on site and explained as it is served.
- Leadership coachesSeveral, so small-group and one-to-one work is possible throughout.
Built on the land
You choose what the days are made of.
The arc stays the same. What fills it is designed with you, against the terrain we are on and the people you are bringing.
- Equine therapy and horsebackHorses read a nervous system faster than any assessment will.
- Custom hikesRouted to the group's range, from a gentle morning walk to real distance.
- Time with eldersUnhurried conversation with people who have carried more than we have.
- Ancestral kitchen workshopsHands in the corn. The team cooks a meal together and eats it together.
- A running workshopLed by a professional running coach — form, breath, and pace as a discipline of mind.
- Backcountry and UTVGetting properly out, where the phone signal ends and the day opens up.
- Journaling and writingGuided, quiet, and kept — the record your people take home with them.
- Council and firesideEvery night. The hours where the real work tends to happen.
Two ways to run it
Bring us in, or hand us the whole thing.
We bring the team
You have the venue and the logistics handled. We arrive with the full practitioner team and run the program inside your container.
- Full practitioner team on site for the duration
- Program designed to your people and your terrain
- The Far Messenger Path and nightly council
- Diagnostic before and at 30 days, with an aggregate report
Full turnkey production
We take the whole thing: venue, land partners, food, elders, transport, schedule, staffing and the follow-through. You send your people and nothing else.
- Everything in Tier One
- Venue sourcing and full on-site production
- Ancestral kitchen, elders and land partners arranged
- Parallel cohorts for groups over twenty
- Post-program coaching for the 30/60/90 plans
Scale and reach
Built to lift your whole leadership.
Parallel cohorts for groups over twenty
The work is intimate by design. Larger groups run as parallel cohorts with additional facilitators — so an entire leadership layer can rise together, without losing the depth that makes it real.
Delivered wherever your people are
Across the United States and in friendly countries around the world. Tony already advises companies and communities on four continents; the Far Messenger Program travels.
Your venue, or 1440 Multiversity
We run inside your offsite container, or in the redwoods at 1440 Multiversity in Scotts Valley, California, where Tony leads retreats.
Proven
This is not a new idea we are testing on you.
For ten years Tony Skrelūnas convened inter-tribal gatherings — cooks, sauna leaders, running coaches, dancers, singers and facilitators, working across generations on intergenerational healing. Everything in the Far Messenger Program was built and pressure-tested there first.
He has since brought that team to deliver at Rancho La Puerta three times and in Sedona, and now convenes at 1440 Multiversity, where he leads retreats.
Your guide
Tony Skrelūnas.
Tony Skrelūnas is Lithuanian and Diné — raised in a hogan on Big Mountain, learning by lamplight after the chores were done, reading the philosophy of Japan by the same small flame, a discipline he would take as his own. College handed him an identity crisis and an inferiority crisis at once. He came through it, and finished at the top of his class.
Today he is a PhD candidate in Sustainable Development Education, and his doctoral research studies exactly what this work delivers: how the ancestral tools of breath, ceremony, and community hold up as a high-performance system for the modern world. He is a repeat commencement speaker, most recently to a doctoral graduating class, and the first person of Lithuanian and Diné descent inducted into a college of business hall of fame.
He knows how to move real institutions. A three-time executive and systems architect, he led the governance restructuring of a still-traditional nation — returning real ownership and self-determination to its local communities — advises companies and communities on four continents, and serves as development advisor to a major integrated health-and-wellness development. For a decade he convened Indigenous elders across the Americas in the old way — the living model this program is built from.
He is board chair of a Native-led nonprofit, retreat faculty, a runner and aspiring silversmith, and the author of the Ancestral Watch series.
Across all of it runs one conviction: the tools were never lost, only set down — and a person, a team, or a whole people can remember their power and rise into it. Money is only ever one instrument in that work; the real aim is wholeness that lasts for generations. For each engagement, Tony assembles and leads the practitioner team.
“Guides toward a deeper sense of belonging, purpose-driven action, and the courage to live from inner knowing rather than fear.” Emily Alicia Affolter, PhD · Associate Dean of Doctoral Studies
A note on the work he does elsewhere
Ancient tools, for the age of AI.
Tony advises technology and robotics companies. He is not romantic about the machines and he is not frightened of them. He is interested in the same question you are: what a human being needs in order to stay whole while building something that moves this fast.
Next step
Tell us who you are bringing, and where.
We will come back with an arc designed for your group, the practitioner team it needs, and what it costs — in one document.
